What should a person know before renting a self-storage unit?
Storage units can be a wonderful way to have more room for all of your goods that you can't store at your house, but it's critical to consider all of the expenses and advantages before signing a contract. Choosing the appropriate storage container rental may be the difference between making a good decision and losing money, but it can also be a smart investment if you do some research and ask our storage experts questions.
How to Rent from Us?
Give us a call or book a unit on our website, and we'll tell you about available units and prices. If you want to rent from us, review and sign our rental agreement. You need to pay the first month's rent and security deposit when you sign the agreement. We'll try our best to accommodate your storage needs and schedule.
How long can I store items?
Storage units are month-to-month. You can store items in your unit for as long as you want, whether it's a month or several years! The minimum rental period is one month. Storage units are typically rented on a monthly basis, but you can pay upfront for longer periods of time if you wish.
Can I bring my own lock?
Yes, you may bring your own lock. Alternatively, we provide locks and other moving and storing goods for your convenience at our warehouses. At the time of rental, a lock must be secured on your property. We have locks available for purchase in our office.
Are the storage units dry?
Yes, we've done everything possible to keep your belongings safe. Each facility is built to divert rainfall and surface water away from the storage units. The storage unit floors at all 12 sites have been specifically created to prevent water from seeping into the containers.
What size storage unit do I need?
Sizes differ by location. Feel free to look through the "Sizes" list and select a different one. Every unit shown is now live and ready for you to take home!
How do I calculate how much storage space to rent?

Can I change my storage unit size later?
Yes, you can change the size of your storage unit. However, this is not often possible if it has already been assigned to someone else and locked in place. Storage units are locked in size, but you can change sizes as long as the unit is available.
What not to put in a self-storage unit
There are countless objects and belongings that one could put into storage. From toys to furniture, the list is practically endless. What about all the things you should not put into self-storage? El Paso Storage Units has compiled a summary of prohibited items in your storage unit, including:

Is getting storage property insurance worth it?
Self-storage insurance can help you protect your belongings. Tenants are responsible for the cost of their own self-storage insurance, but tenants should ensure that they have adequate coverage to protect themselves in the event of a catastrophe or theft. Whether or not to get insurance on a specific item is a personal decision. If you're storing valuables, it's probably a good idea to do so.
When can I access my storage unit?
We have some of the most extensive access hours in the business. On each of our facility's respective location pages, you may discover the current access hours.
Can I save time reserving online?
You can easily make a reservation online and move in on the same day. With modern online booking, you can reserve a unit up to one month in advance with ease. If there is availability during this time period, though, you will have to pay an additional fee to clear your reservation.You may save a lot of time by making an online reservation. When you make a reservation through the facility manager, he or she will contact you to confirm that everything is OK and that there are no concerns with your booking.
